Daily research limits and budgets

How many companies are researched and saved each day, what the limits are, when they reset, and what you see when research stops for the day.

Research is paced on purpose. A steady number of well-checked companies each day is more useful than a large list nobody has time to review, and it keeps the cost of paid lead data under control. This article explains the limits that apply and how to read them.

Your research allowance

Two numbers make up your research allowance. Both are set by your account manager.

LimitWhat it counts
Suitable leads a dayHow many companies are researched and saved for you each day.
Research candidates a dayHow many candidates may be checked to find them. Many candidates are turned away for poor fit, a missing website or unmet criteria.

You can see both in Settings → Automation, under Finding companies, with today’s progress, for example “Today: 6 of 10 companies saved · 140 candidates checked.” The Today’s research card also separates email-contactable companies from phone-only ones.

These limits are separate from how many messages can be sent. Sending has its own daily limits (see Warm-up and daily sending limits).

When research runs

  • When Automatic sending is on, the main daily run starts at 10:00 Malaysia time. It researches first, then drafts and sends.
  • The optional Top up during the day adds research runs at 08:00, 12:00 and 16:00 Malaysia time if the day’s target has not been met. It is research only, and off unless you turn it on.
  • Research only runs once setup is complete and at least one running campaign can use company research.
  • If automatic sending is off, scheduled research is paused. Research can still be started by hand.

When research stops for the day

Home tells you why research has stopped:

  • Today’s research is done: the day’s target of saved companies was reached.
  • Research paused for today: the candidate limit was reached before the target. Your account manager can raise the limit.
  • Research also pauses after six runs in one day.

In every case, research starts again after 08:00 Malaysia time (00:00 UTC), when all daily counters reset. A lead that is later held for a criteria check still counts towards the day’s allowance.

Spend caps on lead data

Paid business-listing searches have their own daily and monthly spending cap per workspace. When a cap is reached, paid searching stops until it resets, and the app says the lead-data budget is used up. Directories and saved leads are unaffected. Sizing suggested campaigns during setup does not count towards the daily cap.

If a data provider is briefly unavailable, research moves to a backup source. If capacity is exhausted, the app asks you to contact your account manager; your saved leads remain available.

Getting more (or better) companies

  1. Check the fit first. Look at the Not a fit reasons and Not selected by research. If most candidates fail on one criterion, adjust it.
  2. Widen the campaign. Add a country or broaden Who is it for?. A campaign marked Check first: may simply be running out of listings.
  3. Ask for a higher allowance. Use Ask for more, or email your account manager.

A higher research allowance is only useful if you can review what it produces. Every saved company can become a draft in Review drafts, so match the pace of research to the time your team has for review.
